Greetings fellow backwards-java lovers.

D-Java is a class file disassembler written in C.

Running D-Java

Options

             -f Don't output method bodies.
                  Ignored for "jasmin" output.
             -h Display detailed help screen.
             -v Verbose output.
             -n Don't output debugging info.
The value "lnt" or "lvt" must follow.
To exclude both the number table and local variable table debugging info, this switch
must be placed twice. For example, to exclude both the line number table and the local
variable table, "-n lnt -n lvt" is needed.
-o Output in a particular format.
Right now, the only legal values are "jasmin" and "default". "default" is the default if this
option isn't specified. All but the last occurence of this switch is ignored.
             -- Signal end of options.
Everything after this switch is considered a file name.
             - This special switch must come after all the other options. If specified, D-Java takes its
input from stdin. For example, "cat Animator.class |D-Java -fv -" will
disassemble Animator.class and output to the screen.

Some Worthwhile Information

DOS users

D-Java was made with DJGPP so it needs a DPMI server. This means that you either need to run it in a DOS shell, or provide
your own server.

Other notes

I could use some recommendations regarding my default output. I would like to note that it is slightly different than that output
by javap. There is no standard output format for java bytecode.

The .class extension is optional for any filename. It will be appended automatically, so D-Java will complain if it cannot find
"SomeCode.ext.class". I have no idea why I did that. Just one of those things.

Plans

     Decompiler
     Lots more command-line switches

Downloading

There are two binaries available right now. One is for Solaris and the other for DOS.

     D-Java.solaris.zip
     D-Java.zip
